Rare Weddings

What a blast, this was not your average big boring wedding event! If you had trouble getting your fiance to go to those horrible events, take him to this one...It was so much fun, we may go next year just for a good time!
The vendors were all very friendly like they were only there for you, the big boring ones they are so overwhelming to me and I guess to the vendors to because while they talk to you they are looking over your shoulder searching for their next prey, not a good way to ‘reel’ someone in.

Rock’n’Roll!

So we ventured to have an engagement party, finally... we’ve been engaged since September 2008! We did finally annouce the official date, rain or shine... sleet or snow (not likely) It is on May 1st 2010!
I am so happy my family made it out to the rock’n’roll show, and enjoyed themselves despite I’m sure it’s not quite their taste, I am so grateful to have such a wonderful supportive family! It was hot and dark at Casino, and again hot and muggy at Red Eyed Fly that evening, but everyone endured and enjoyed the show and I thank you all for that! What a pack of troopers! Don’t worry I will make sure there is A/C at the wedding!

Doesn’t look cold does it?

Camping in February? Oh yes, it seems crazy..and it was a test of survival of the elements. It was so warm during the week and the day we left, we were not completely prepared for the intense cold front that blew in the last night we stayed. The wind whipped around blowing our tent down to our faces...and we all woke up around 3 am thinking surely the sun’s warmth is almost here, but not quite yet! We huddled and piled clothes on our bodies to try and stay warm and laughed hysterically at our stupidity. In the strong winds the next morning I made breakfast over our camp stove and brewed some coffee while jogging in place and fighting the mighty wind to keep the flame on. Then I turned on the truck and warmed up the cab. Arose the family and served breakfast behind the wheel. We then promptly packed up and headed home for some real warmth! All in all we had a great time, camping is more of an adventure when something goes wrong and you have to overcome. To survive triumphant! Good times!
